Mariquita--La Tercera Vez

This was the first time Gerry (the Bible teacher, in the blue shirt) and I took so many students. We've usually gone with more teachers. It was great spending time with ECA’s 11^th graders, and it was awesome seeing our students boldly share their testimonies with the young children and youth in Mariquita as “servant-leaders.” We had a wonderful time, and we want to go back. This is one, very special place.

Mariquita's known for their quite hot, humid weather. So everytime we visit, Rodrigo (the school director's husband--see far left) says we're like cool, refreshing water to them. (Ruth, the director of Gimnasio Campestre Beth Sharon school is on the far right).

Thank you, Whitney (she's our 5th grade teacher, in the bright pink), for coming and supporting me and the gals. You're the best!!!

Many of our 11th graders want to go back and serve in Mariquita. My prayer is that ECA could send a group of students/teachers every year to support and encourage this school/community.
